These solutions include next business day deliveries, on-day deliveries in the range of 1-3 days after standard time, evening deliveries, pallet exchange, ADR and long goods shipments, unloading and loading by a driver, delivery of packages to the gate or warehouse by the driver and return of documents. The company now also offers deliveries to individual customers as part of B2C services.
To accommodate these solutions, Kuehne+Nagel continues to develop its road network. It currently includes 6 own cross-dock platforms in Warsaw, Poznań, Katowice, Wrocław, Gdańsk and Łódź, and 8 subsidiary platforms in other major economic centers. All platforms have access to the groupage network for customers in Poland. Each location has a distribution fleet that serves customers in terms of pick-ups and final deliveries.
In 2022, Kuehne+Nagel in Poland opened new locations in Rusocin near Gdańsk and the branch in Wrocław moved to a modern facility offering great development opportunities. In January 2023, the branch in Łódź started its work. The company will open another location in Toruń this year. The purpose of these investments is, built into the company’s DNA, to continuously improve the quality of services provided and increase added value for customers.
“After creating a stable groupage network on the European market, we listened to the needs of the local market,” says Maciej Sobek, Road Logistics Director at the Polish branch of Kuehne+Nagel.
“Daily transports between all terminals, combined with close cooperation with trusted subcontractors, allow deliveries to be made within 24-48 hours. By combining these activities with contract logistics services, we can continue to deliver comprehensiveness supply chain solutions in a challenging market environment,” adds Maciej Sobek.
