Having operated in Poland since 1990, the group founded Hochland Polska Sp. z o.o. in 1993 and in 1995 put its own production plant into operation in Kaźmierz, near Poznań. Together with the sites of Baranowo and Węgrów, Hochland today has three plants in the country which manufacture processed cheese, soft cheese, cream cheese, hard cheese and sliced cheese.

In order to guarantee shortest transit times, the shipments are transported from Hochland’s production site in Kaźmierz by road to the ports of Hamburg and Bremerhaven, from where they sail to Cape Town.
